Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover's administration today released the list of 32 people who have applied to be the city's next fire chief.
Twenty-two of the applicants are from the Shreveport Fire Department.
The job came open when Fire Chief Kelvin Cochran left late last year to become fire chief in Atlanta. David Glass is the interim fire chief but said he does not want the job permanently.
Here are the applicants and their current jobs:
- Tommy L. Adams, Shreveport Fire Department district chief
- Roderick T. Casey, Shreveport Fire Department captain
- David J. Conner, Joliet, Ill., Fire Department battalion chief
- Michael A. Cook, Shreveport Fire Department captain
- Brian A. Crawford, Shreveport Fire Department assistant to the chief
- Thomas R. Ezell, Monroe Fire Department fire training officer
- Kerry W. Foster, Shreveport Fire Department district chief
- Mark A. Guastella, Shreveport Fire Department captain.
- James A. Hall, Shreveport Fire Department, assistant chief of fire prevention.
- Derrick T. Harris, Shreveport Fire Department fire inspector
- Cecil P. Jeselink, Monroe Fire Department fire captain
- Louis Johnson, Shreveport Fire Department assistant chief of training
- Ronald C. Johnson, retired Fulton County, Ga. Fire Department battalion chief
- Tracy L. Johnson, Shreveport Fire Department fire training officer
- John P. Lane, Shreveport Fire Department fire training officer
- Wayne N. Lockett, Baton Rouge Fire Department hazardous material officer
