Maryland Firefighter Involved in Fatal Crash

The firefighter was responding to a call when his vehicle collided with another car, killing her.

HEBRON, Md.-- A driver died Sunday in a vehicle accident involving a fireman from the Hebron Volunteer Fire Department who was responding to another accident in the small Wicomico County town, a Maryland State Police trooper from the Salisbury Barrack confirmed Sunday night.

Firefighters from the Hebron Volunteer Fire Department initially responded to a two-car accident with multiple people injured at the intersection of Route 50 and Route 670 about 10 minutes before 2 p.m. While in route to the wreck, a fireman, Steve Brown, driving a car struck another car, driven by a woman, at Chestnut Tree Road and Route 670 around 2 p.m.

Maryland State Police Salisbury Barrack was still reconstructing the scene and investigating the second accident Sunday night.

Hebron responded to another accident after these two wrecks about an hour later on White Lowe Road. A single motorcycle rider was involved in the third accident.
