North Carolina Firefighter Dies of Heart Attack

The USFA has reported that Garner, N.C. firefighter Larry Wayne Fanning, 57, died Aug. 2 at home of a heart attack several hours following work as a standby at the station during a medical response call.

Fanning was a 16-year veteran with the Garner Volunteer Fire Department. His funeral was held on Thursday, Aug. 10 in Dublin, Virginia.
