TAKOMA PARK, Md. --
Montgomery County firefighters battled a blaze that damaged two homes in Takoma Park Friday afternoon.
At about 2 p.m., a fire at 130 Richie Ave. was reported. Firefighters said they found heavy fire and smoke on the first and second stories. The fire burned through the roof of the house.

A second and finally a third alarm were called as the heat caused a neighboring house to catch fire.
No injuries were reported.
