ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. --
A huge fire damaged or destroyed at least 32 apartments at a complex behind the Altamonte Mall Monday afternoon.
The blaze at 521 One Center Blvd. which is off Palm Springs Blvd. started just after 2pm.
Investigators believe a welding torch that was being used on the first floor started the fire.
No injuries were reported Monday afternoon although officials say about 100 people were burned out of their homes.
Crews were on scene with ladder trucks towering over the building.
The complex was formerly called Club Esprit Apartments.
The complex used to be called Club Esprit.
