Charlotte firefighters are trying to figure out what sparked an early morning house fire in northwest Mecklenburg County.
Flames broke out just after 6:00 a.m. Tuesday at a home on Harwood Lane off Mount Holly-Huntersville Road.
Firefighters say they arrived on the site within two minutes of receiving the call, only to discover that the house was already 50 percent engulfed in flames.
Authorities reported one person suffered from smoke inhalation and one firefighter had minor burns, which were treated at the scene.
