Members of the Las Vegas Fire & Rescue Bomb Squad found six pipe bombs that were in a mobile home in a mobile home park near Nellis Air Force Base. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police is handling the investigation of who made them and why.

The Bomb Squad responded to the Storyville Mobile Home Park, 3755 North Nellis Boulevard at 8:45AM Thursday morning. The park is located in unincorporated Clark County, across the street from Nellis Air Force Base.

Metro Police received a call that explosive devices might be stored in a mobile home located in the park. Metro notified the Bomb Squad, which arrived on scene just after 9:00AM. A sweep was made of the property and six homemade pipe bombs were discovered and taken into custody by the bomb squad. A sweep of the property did not reveal any other explosive devices.

The pipe bombs will be dismantled and rendered safe by the bomb squad. A small number of other mobile homes in the park were evacuated for a short time. By 10:00AM everyone was allowed to return. There were no injuries.

Metro Police will follow up with the investigation and any arrests.
