Richmond Fire and Emergency Services Chief Larry R.Tunstall announced the installment of a new Fire Marshal July 7.
Battalion Chief Donald Horton, a 24-year veteran of the department, was promoted to Division Chief which includes the responsiblities of Fire Marshal.
Horton is well versed in the position having served as Acting Fire Marshal since May of 2002. He has previously served as Firefighter, Lieutenant, Captain, Public Information Officer and Deputy Fire Marshal.
