Nearly a dozen firefighters are recovering after being injured while battling a house fire in the Jamaica.

The three-alarm blaze started just before two a.m. this morning in a home on 138th Place.

Although the house was destroyed firefighters were able to stop the flames from spreading to adjacent homes.

Ten firefighters were treated for minor injuries and one resident suffered smoke inhalation.
