The members of Engine Co. 3 and Truck Co. 2 at Bayonne's City Hall firehouse, 27th Street and Avenue C, have their own American flag to salute, just like their fellow firefighters at the city's other fire stations.
A newly installed 40-foot flagpole, supplied by Gates Flag Co. of Clifton, displays a new, 8-foot-by-12-foot American flag - both donated by relatives of retired Fire Capt. John Brown, who died just over a year ago. Brown served with the Fire Department from December 1959 to April 1989.
