03/04/04) HACKENSACK - Four people are homeless and a firefighter had to be hospitalized following a three-alarm blaze in Hackensack. Authorities say the fire broke out in a home on Clinton Place around noon on Thursday when no one was inside.

One firefighter was injured when searching through the two-family home. Officials say the pressure from the flames created a back draft and blew the firefighter down a flight of stair. He was taken a local hospital where his injuries are not said to be life threatening.

Another firefighter also survived some scary moments inside the home. Officials say a lieutenant was trapped for a short period of time before crews were able to pull him out.

Authorities are not sure what caused the fire. They say the house is a complete loss.
