LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Actress Jennifer Love Hewitt arranged a party with a heart for victims of the Lake Arrowhead wildfire, one of several blazes that blackened Southern California in October. The gathering Friday night included music, food and a photographer to shoot family pictures. Hewitt came up with the idea after hearing firsthand accounts of the blaze from her brother.

Todd Hewitt, a chiropractor, was at evacuation centers and treated some of the firefighters involved, said Hewitt's publicist, Sarah Fuller.

In a Nov. 25 appearance on ``The Wayne Brady Show,'' the actress issued an appeal for help. Donations, more than $45,000 so far, were being distributed by Soroptimist International of Lake Arrowhead.

The wildfires killed at least 22 people, destroyed about 3,600 homes and burned more than 740,000 acres of brush and timber.

Hewitt, who was in the TV series ``Party of Five,'' has starred in films including ``The Tuxedo'' and ``I Know What You Did Last Summer.''
