A hero firefighter who ran through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to help World Trade Center victims - and died at Ground Zero - will be honored with a 5-kilometer run.

"The Firefighter Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Run" will be held Sept. 29 at 9 a.m. The father of five had just finished an overnight shift at Squad 1 in Park Slope when news of the terror attacks broke.

Unable to get into Manhattan by car because of traffic, he ran through the tunnel, made it to the towers and then ran inside to rescue civilians.
