    390 Departments Awarded Nearly $27 Million

    Bulk of this round’s money, nearly $25M, goes to 368 departments in the area of Fire Operations and Firefighter Safety.
    The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the United States Fire Administration (USFA) announced the ninth round of FY 2002 Assistance to Firefighter Grant Awards (FIRE Act), for 390 fire departments. The monetary investment announced in this round is $26,689,818.
