Four Firefighters Injured in New Hampshire Blaze

A fire that started in a bar damaged a four-story downtown Concord landmark early Sunday. Four firefighters were hospitalized for minor injuries.

Feb. 13--A fire that started in a bar damaged a four-story downtown Concord landmark early Sunday, the Concord Monitor reported.

Fire crews from nearly two dozen communities responded to battle the 7:30 a.m. blaze at the Green Martini at 6 Pleasant St., according to the Monitor.

Four Concord firefighters suffered minor injuries including back strains, smoke inhalation and hand and ankle injuries and were treated and later released from Concord Hospital, according to the Monitor.

Vacant apartments above the bar, which were set to be rennovated soon, sustained smoke damage in the fire, the paper reported.
