Ark. Fire Chief Totals Tanker Truck While Responding

The Pea Ridge fire chief totaled a tanker truck while responding to a structure fire Wednesday night.

Fire Chief Frank Rizzio was en route to a blaze in Avoca in a 1985 Ford L9000 4,000-gallon tanker on U.S. 62 when it rolled over while negotiating a left turn, according to The Benton County Daily Record.

Arkansas State Police Trooper George Enke told the newspaper that he wrote the chief a warning for failure to maintain control.

Rizzio was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and released.
