Worker Missing After Md. Warehouse Roof Collapses

Prince George's County firefighters are searching for the missing worker.

LANDOVER, Md. (WUSA) - One employee is missing at a warehouse where an explosion led to a roof collapse, according to Prince George's County Police.

Prince George's Fire and EMS were called to the warehouse for a report of a natural gas explosion at about 10 p.m. Thursday.

They arrived to find about 90 percent of the roof of the building, which is the former Safeway grocery warehouse, had collapsed and the wall of the warehouse bowed out to as much as 45 degrees.

Twenty-five workers in the warehouse were evacuated and are unhurt but Friday morning, one employee remained unaccounted for.

This building is now occupied by a document and data storage company called Recall ( recall.com ).

The cause of the collapse still being investigated.
