Three Marion Township firefighters were responding to a fully-involved vehicle Saturday night.

Three Marion Township firefighters responding to a call were injured after their engine rolled over Saturday night.

The crew was en route to a fully-involved vehicle fire at 897 Wesley Chapel Road when the crash occurred, according to WBIW Radio.

Firefighter Michael Duncan, who was at the wheel of the 2011 International fire engine, over-corrected after cresting a hill, causing the apparatus to veer off the road before hitting a cedar tree.

The engine then rolled onto the passenger side and slid to a stop after hitting a second tree.

Firefighters Amos Hershberger and Dane Fountain also were aboard the engine and complained of back pains, officials told the radio station.

The Huron Volunteer Fire Department was called to extinguish the vehicle fire the crew was responding to.
