Tennessee Fire Captain Dies While at Firehouse

Chattanooga Capt. Roulos Davis died Monday morning at Station 14.

A Chattanooga fire captain died Monday morning shortly after reporting to his station for work.

Capt. Roulos Davis, 49, fell ill while inside Station 14 in the St. Elmo district of the city, according to a department news release.

His fellow firefighters quickly administered CPR, but were unsuccessful. Davis died shortly after arriving at a local hospital.

The exact cause of death has not been determined, but it appears the 25-year veteran died of natural causes.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
