N.Y. Assistant Fire Chief Dies After Training

Constable Assistant Chief Timothy J. Lamere died Tuesday after collapsing at home following department training the previous day.

An assistant chief with the Constable Volunteer Fire Department died Tuesday after collapsing at home following department training the previous day.

Assistant Chief Timothy J. Lamere was transported by fellow firefighters and EMTs from Northern Ambulance to Alice Hyde Medical Center where he died, according to the USFA.

The cause of death of the six-year veteran of the department is still being determined.

Funeral Arrangements

Visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 24 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Constable Fire Station.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 25 at 10 a.m. at the fire station.
