OAKLAND, Calif. -- A fire in a carport at an East Oakland apartment complex Tuesday morning slightly injured a firefighter but caused no significant property damage, officials said.

The fire started about 3:35 a.m. Tuesday in some trash and garbage at a carport in the 3300 block of 66th Avenue.
