New Jersey Firefighter Clipped by Car Outside Station

Investigators say the firefighter was clipped by the mirror of a passing car.

A Camden firefighter was struck by a vehicle in front of a station Thursday morning.

The unidentified firefighter was outside of Squad Company 7 in the 1100 block of Kaighns Avenue around 7:30 a.m. when he was hit by a car, according to KYW-TV.

Investigators told the news station that the on-duty firefighter was clipped by the mirror of a passing car.

The firefighter was transported to Cooper University Hospital for treatment of minor hand injury.

The incident is currently under investigation.
