UK Firefighter Injured After Engine Rolls During Training

A firefighter was hospitalized after a fire engine rolled over during a training exercise at the Edinburgh Airport in Scotland Thursday morning.

A firefighter was hospitalized after a fire engine rolled over during a training exercise at the Edinburgh Airport in Scotland Thursday morning.

The unidentified firefighter sustained fractures to his arm and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital after the wreck occurred around 10:15 a.m., according to The Scotsman.

A second firefighter suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

"The incident occurred during operational training and did not in any way impair the operation of the airport or affect our passengers," an airport spokesperson told the newspaper.

An investigation into the incident is underway.
