Video: Four-Alarmer Destroys San Francisco Restaurant

Two firefighters were treated for minor injuries during the blaze in the West Portal neighborhood.

A four-alarm fire destroyed a restaurant in San Francisco's West Portal neighborhood early Friday morning.

Crews responded to the Squat and Gobble restaurant at 1 West Portal Avenue around 4:40 a.m., according to The San Francisco Chronicle.

Extra personnel were called in after the flames spread to three nearby buildings.

During the fire, the attic space of the restaurant caved in.

Two firefighters were treated for minor injuries, Fire Chief Joanne Hayes-White told the newspaper.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
