Ohio Fire Engine Struck While at Scene of Crash

Three Miami Township firefighters were transported to Bethesda North Hospital as a precaution.

A Miami Township fire engine was struck on a highway late Friday night while it was stopped at the scene of an earlier collision.

The engine was at the scene of a crash on 1-275 in the Loveland area when a car hit the rear of the rig on the left side, according to WKRC-TV.

Three firefighters were transported to Bethesda North Hospital as a precaution.

The driver of the car was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The engine is expected to be out of service for a while due to the damage it sustained.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
