A firefighter and a civilian were injured Saturday morning after a Muncie fire truck collided with a pickup truck.
The collision occurred at McGalliard Road and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard around 11:22 a.m. as the apparatus was responding to a call with its lights and siren activated, according to The Star Press.
The driver of the pickup truck and a firefighter thrown forward inside the cab by the impact were transported to IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
Their injuries were not believed to be serious.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
