Two Killed in Fire at Fort Lee

A neighboring unit also was damaged by the fire.

Two people have been killed in a duplex fire at Fort Lee.

Base personnel responded to the call about 3 a.m., and requested nearby Hopewelll firefighters for assistance, according to WTKR.

Fort Lee Fire Chief Franklin Tanner told reporters that a neighboring unit in the duplex building was also damaged by the fire.

The cause of the fire on the Virginia military base is under investigation.
