Jet Engine Fire Foamed by Crews at BWI Airport

Crews used foam to quell the small engine fire.

BALTIMORE (WUSA) -- Firefighters responded to Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport on Wednesday for an engine fire on a JetBlue flight. WJZ said that JetBlue Flight 1329 was flying to Baltimore from Boston when there was a small engine fire shortly before 11:30 a.m.

The plane landed safely and no one was hurt. Passengers were taken off the plane at Concourse D, reports WJZ.

BWI Fire Department extinguished the fire. Sky 9 hovered over the scene and got video of the plane and foam on the ground.

We are told there was no impact on arriving or department flights due to the engine fire.
