La. Furniture Shop Destroyed by Blaze

Nov. 23, 2012
No injuries occurred as all were off for Thanksgiving.

Firefighters spent hours Thursday battling a furniture shop fire in Louisiana.

Firefighters from Carencro called for additional crews to help fight the fire at All Wood Furniture Shop, according to KATC.

David Duhon, the owner, watched as his shop went up in flames. He told reporters it was a like a nightmare he couldn't wake up from, but is thankful that, because of the holiday, no one was inside when the fire started.

"We've been in this building for 16 years now," said Duhon. "The whole crew that works with us is like family. We have probably 12, to 15, guys that work in this building."

While two stores will remain open, he'll be looking for another place to build furniture.

No one was hurt in the All Wood, according to KATC.
