Florida Firefighter, Civilian Struck Assisting Motorist

Both were listed in stable condition.

A Florida firefighter and a civilian were struck by a suspected drunk driver while attempting to help a driver.

The two were taken to a hospital and listed in stable condition, according to Florida Today.

Palm Bay Police told reporters that about 12:30 a.m., motorisits saw a man slumped over the wheel, and called 911.

Motorists and Brevard County rescue personnel were trying to rouse the man when they were hit.

Both drivers were charged with alcohol-related offenses.
