It appears a volunteer firefighter in Alabama needs additional firearms training.
His intended target Wednesday evening was an injured cow. But, the shot didn't down the bovine, but a fellow firefighter, according to The Daily Home.
Renfroe firefighters were trying to move the injured cow after it was struck by a car. But, it became agitated and reportedly started to charge.
That's when one firefighter pulled a handgun and shot at the cow but missed, instead hitting his colleague in the lower leg, the paper reported.
The injured firefighter was transported to Regional Medical Center in Anniston. No word was available on his condition.
