“It’s important to get back to the basics,” he said. “You need to understand your hose lines, your Scotts, your equipment.”
Fraone said that while firefighters need to focus on training and their profession, they need to keep their lives in balance and remember their family life and those who support them in their careers.
Firehouse, which is part of Cygnus Business Media, presented a check for $10,000 to the Burn Institute, a nonprofit health agency dedicated to reducing the number of burn injuries and deaths in southern California.
In accepting the check, Chief Scott Walker, the interim executive director of the Burn Institute, thanked all the men and women dedicated to the fire service and shared his appreciation for the support the institute has received for its mission.
