Nine People Hurt in Minnesota House Fire

March 02--Nine people were hospitalized after a fire broke out in a North Minneapolis residence early the morning of Saturday, March 2.

According to a news release from the Minneapolis Fire Department, crews were summoned to 4425 Aldrich Avenue North around 5:42 a.m.

Firefighters were able to determine that the fire was in the basement and prevented the fire from spreading past the room in which it originated. The fire was under control within 15 minutes of crews arriving on scene.

Even so, some residents had to be rescued from the second story of the building. The nine people were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center and North Memorial Medical Center for "various types of injuries."

The fire remains under investigation.
