Two More Suspected Arson Fires Reported in Va.

More than 50 structures have burned on the Eastern Shore since mid-November. A $25,000 reward has been offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the case.

March 04--WITHAMS -- Police suspect arson in two more fires on the Eastern Shore on Sunday.

A few minutes before 3 a.m., crews responded to an abandoned residential structure at Jenkins Bridge Road and Horsey Road, a state police news release said.

The structure was a total loss. Arson is suspected, though the fire scene exam was not complete.

At 9:35 p.m., investigators were called to another blaze at a house that was uninhabited in the 16000 block of Pungoteague Road in Accomack County. When firefighters arrived, the house was engulfed in flames. No injuries were reported.

Two additional fires were reported on the Eastern Shore on Saturday. One was to a small, dilapidated structure that burned to the ground on Bayside Road in Onancock about 3:15 a.m. Another came about 11:45 p.m., to an uninhabited trailer on New Branch Road in Accomack County.
