Okla. House Fire Sends Mom, Two Kids to Hospital

Two young boys are in critical condition after suffering burns during a house fire in Oklahoma City that also injured their mother.

March 28--The cause of a fire that injured two children and their mother in south Oklahoma City remains under investigation, fire Battalion Chief Brian Stanaland said.

Two boys, ages 4 and 5, and their mother, age 25, are hospitalized from injuries suffered in a house fire Wednesday night, authorities said.

The house fire broke out about 10:35 p.m. at 5916 S Francis Ave. The boys were burned while escaping the house, firefighters said. All three were taken by ambulance to OU Medical Center. The boys were in critical condition, authorities said. The mother's condition was not released.

The fire caused $40,000 in damage, Stanaland said.
