Three children were hospitalized with burns Saturday morning after a fire swept through a rowhouse in Southwest Philadelphia, officials said.
Firefighters got a report of the blaze on the 6500 block of Windsor Avenue about 5:40 a.m., a fire official said.
The flames were under control in about 15 minutes, and firefighters got three children out of the home.
They were taken to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
A 7-year-old girl was in critical condition Saturday, an official said. The other children - a boy, 6, and a girl, 14 - were in stable condition, officials said.
Later Saturday, another fire tore through a house on the 5800 block of Chew Street in Germantown, displacing five children and four adults. No injuries were reported.
The Red Cross is helping that family, as well as the nine family members displaced by the Windsor Avenue fire.
The fire marshal is investigating both blazes.
