N.Y. Firefighter Killed in Wreck Returning From Training

A 20-year-old firefighter from Youngstown Volunteer Fire Company was killed in a crash as he returned from mandatory training Monday night.

A 20-year-old firefighter with the Youngstown (N.Y.) Volunteer Fire Company was killed in a single-car crash Monday night while returning from mandatory training.

According to the United States Fire Administration (USFA), Thomas Burley was in his personal vehicle traveling on Route 93, near Church Road in Cambria when he crash.

The volunteer firefighter was returning from training at the Niagara County Public Safety Training Facility at about 9 p.m. The cause of death was ruled as trauma from injuries sustained in the wreck.
