Four Injured When Fire Truck, Van Collide in New York City

Engine 211, on the way to a fire alarm activation, struck a second vehicle before coming to rest on a curb in front of a building.

A crash between a FDNY engine company and a minivan in Brooklyn Monday morning sent four people to the hospital.

The accident happened around 11 a.m. at Marcy Avenue and Hewes Street in the Williamsburg neighborhood, acording to WABC Television

Three firefighters and the driver of the minivan were sent to the hospital, WNBC Television reported.

One neighbor told WNBC that people frequently run stop signs at the intersection.
