July 03--Two firefighters suffered minor injuries Tuesday afternoon in a far west Oklahoma City fire.

About 2:20 p.m., firefighters were called to 13200 Blue Quail Road, Battalion Chief Brian Stanaland said.

The fire, which was started by an electrical short in the attic, caused the roof to sag and collapse while it was being extinguished, Maj. Jim Williams said.

One firefighter suffered a minor injury when a ceiling collapsed on him, but was treated at the scene, Williams said. Another firefighter with chest pains was admitted to a hospital for observation, he said.

The house is a loss. Damage is estimated at $150,000, Williams said.

The firefight lasted about 45 minutes.
