Two Children Die in N.C. Mobile Home Fire

A mobile home in Randolph County Saturday morning killed two children and injured two adults.

July 14--RANDOLPH COUNTY -- Two children died and two adults were injured Saturday in a mobile home fire.

Authorities said they were called to the blaze on Buffalo Ford Road about 10:10 a.m. The mother of the children and a man were awakened by smoke. They tried to get the children out, but a 5-year-old died in the fire, and a 3-year-old died at Randolph Hospital, authorities told WXII News.

The two adults were treated for smoke inhalation and burns. Their injuries were not considered life-threatening. The names of the victims have not been released. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Randolph County Fire Marshal's Office.
