N.Y. Firefighter Hit by Tow Truck at Crash Scene
A New York firefighter is struggling for his life Wednesday after being hit by a wrecker at the scene of a highway crash.
Allen Ayotte, 66, with the West Crescent Fire District, was helping at a minor crash on a ramp when he was hit by the tow truck, according to CBS6albany.
Officials say Ayotte, a 40-year member of the department, suffered a fractured hip.
He was in critical condition at Albany Hospital.
