Sept. 21--A hundred Baltimore firefighters battled a four-alarm fire Friday evening at a commercial building in Southwest Baltimore that blazed until about 5 a.m. Saturday.

"The entire building is on fire," Fire Department spokesman Ian T. Brennan said from the scene Friday night in the 3000 block of Frederick Ave. "Lots of smoke and fire."

Brennan said Friday no injuries had been reported.

The fire was called in about 8 p.m. and soon went to four alarms -- a relatively rare degree of severity.

The fire was finally brought under control at 4:51 a.m. Saturday, Brennan said.

The building houses Three Brothers, a business with an array of offerings, including check cashing, beer and liquor, lottery tickets and a deli.

At least three blocks of Frederick Avenue were closed Friday -- and the Baltimore Office of Emergency Management report some continuing road closures Saturday morning.
