The death of an assistant chief in Factoryville, Pa. hit the community hard last week, and a local TV station did more than just cover the story.
Assistant Chief Russ Gow, 58, collapsed and died while operating at a fire last week in Wyoming County.
Mike Stevens, a freelancer with WNEP, was touched by Gow's death.
The station reported it gave him a chance "to pause and reflect on all the brave volunteers who answer the call of duty every day."
