North Las Vegas firefighters are helping local families this holiday season with a themed fire station during Opportunity Village’s Magical Forest holiday display.

Their efforts began when they repaired and spruced up the Northern Lights Firehouse within the display.

While the display is open, firefighters volunteer to staff the firehouse and take photos with children and families who visit.

"We are so appreciative of the love and attention that the men and women of the North Las Vegas fire department bring to us every year by taking ownership of the Northern Lights Firehouse," said Amanda Mitchell,? Magical Forest events manager." They are here each evening manning the firehouse, helping the kids ring the firehouse bell, and raffling off a wonderful prize, with all proceeds benefiting Opportunity Village."

The Magical Forest is a cherished Southern Nevada tradition with millions of holiday lights, entertainment, and holiday displays. The attraction brings in guests from all over the Las Vegas valley and Opportunity Village raises money to help people with disabilities.
