Okla. Crews Use Hose, Gear to Make Christmas Tree

Dec. 10, 2013
Firefighters at Tulsa Station 28 used fire hose to make a 30-foot high Christmas tree.

Firefighters at one Tulsa fire station did more then deck the halls for the holidays.

Using old fire hose, they erected a 30-foot Christmas tree on the front lawn of the Fire Station 28 and covered it with firefighting gear.

Firefighters made the plate that holds the hose to the top of the flag pole.

The tree is adorned with boots, helmets, suspenders, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors and more memorabilia. All of the equipment was too old to use and was being discarded.

Firefighters light the tree every night.
