A Tulsa man died and another person was burned in a house fire. It appears to have started accidentally in the kitchen.

Dec. 08--One man died early Sunday in a house fire that sent another of the home's occupants to the hospital with burns.

Tulsa fire Capt. Stan May said crews responded to the fire in the 10500 block of East Fourth Street just before 3 a.m. Sunday, and found two people outside the residence.

Those two people, one a teenaged male who was burned in the fire, told firefighters another man was trapped inside the home.

"That delayed the fire attack," May said. "They immediately went into search and rescue at that point."

May said investigators have deemed the blaze an accidental fire, and said it appears to have started in the home's kitchen.

EMSA spokeswoman Kellie Bruer said the man who was burned was transported in serious condition. Another person, who's gender and age were not immediately available Sunday, was transported from the residence in fair condition, Bruer said.
