A tractor-trailer carrying a medical helicopter rolled over on the New York State Thruway near Pembroke Friday.
The accident happened around 10:30 a.m. on Interstate 90 in Genesee County.
The flatbed trailer was carrying a Mercy Flight helicopter and both were found on rolled on their side in the median of the limited access highway.
The New York State Police are investigating the cause of the crash, which did not involve any other vehicles.
Mercy Flight is a not-for-profit agency with three bases spread throughout upstate New York.
"The aircraft involved in this incident is one that was taken off-line several years ago," according to a tweet from Mercy Flight. "We are thankful that there were no injuries."
