Firehouse World is less than a month away, and tomorrow is your last chance to take advantage of early registration rates.
The four day conference takes place in San Diego, Feb. 17 - 20, and offers dozens of new education sessions and two days of access to the latest products in the fire industry.
"I'm really looking forward to having some of the new speakers and their new programs in San Diego," Firehouse Conference Director Harvey Eisner said.
"We have talked with many West Coast fire officials to develop new programs to help the fire service do their job more effectively, while understanding that many things continue to change in how we operate."
In addition to an expanded EMS track, Firehouse World will host the Mobile Integrated Healthcare Summit on Wednesday, Feb. 19.
The event brings health care, EMS and fire/rescue professionals from across the country to share a variety of changes in the way emergency and preventive medicine are presented.
This year's keynote address is being presented by Chief Mark Emery, a veteran speaker at Firehouse World and long-time author for Firehouse Magazine.
You can see him Tuesday morning during the opening ceremonies, when he presents "The Quest for Success."
"Success is not a rank or title, a promotion is an achievement," Emery says. "Success is a Zen-like quality that is simple, powerful, timeless and priceless."
New this year is the "Big Deal of the Day," and offers insight into multiple events that made the national news.
Presentations include reviews of the Santa Monica active shooter incident last summer, lessons from the recent Rim Fire in Northern California. Assistant Chief Charles Wells of the Gwinnett County, Ga., Fire Department will share what happened when his firefighters were held at gunpoint during a medical response.
The early-bird registration offer ends at midnight Monday.
