N.Y. Firefighter Hurt in Fire That Damaged Three Homes

A Buffalo firefighter suffered minor injuries battling a house fire in the Old First Ward that also caused exposure damage to two adjoining houses.

May 16--A Buffalo firefighter suffered minor injuries Thursday afternoon battling a house fire in the Old First Ward that also caused exposure damage to two adjoining houses, fire officials said.

The fire started at 5 p.m. on the first floor of 217 Hamburg St., a two-and-a-half story wood frame structure, and caused $50,000 damage. Houses at 215 and 219 Hamburg each sustained $5,000 damage.

Cause of the fire remains under investigation.
