Networking Events Planned for Firehouse Expo

June 12, 2014
Among the events is a showing of the history of the FDNY Pipes and Drums.

Without a doubt, networking is among the most popular aspects of Firehouse Expo.

And, a number of special events are being planned for those attending Firehouse Expo in Baltimore July 17-19.

Also, we’ll be giving away a Harley-Davidson motorcycle on the show floor. Make sure you stop by the Firehouse booth to register.

You must be an attendee, a citizen of the U.S. and present at  the drawing on Saturday.

It will be time for popcorn at 5:30 p.m. Thursday for the premiere of Through Triumph and Tragedy – 50 Years of the FDNY Pipes and Drums.

After that, head on over to Little Italy for a large block party sponsored by Central Maryland FOOLS. Local restaurants will be offering special deals for fire and rescue personnel.

On Friday from 3-5 p.m., we’ll be serving refreshments on the show floor. Pickup your advance tickets at the Firehouse Booth.

This is a perfect opportunity to check out the latest firefighting, rescue and EMS tools, and talk to the vendors.

Wives of personnel also will have the opportunity to mingle this year.

In addition to a Firefighter Wife booth, two specific sessions will address various issues. They will learn about healthy communication in a fire marriage, juggling fire life schedules, eliminating unhealthy thought patterns of worry, fear and jealousy that steal joy and break down a marriage.

Harvey Eisner, show manager and Firehouse Magazine editor-in-chief, is encouraging everyone to take advantage of the various networking opportunities.
